Exeter Country Club – 58 Jady Hill Avenue – Exeter, NH 03833
If you are unfamiliar with the area, the simplest way to find Exeter Country Club is to proceed to the center of Exeter’s downtown business district. Locate the old Exeter rotunda bandstand, the copper-roofed local landmark. Then proceed per the directions shown at the bottom of this page, “From the Exeter Bandstand.”
From Route 95 (from Portsmouth, Boston and points east of Exeter)
- Take Rt. 95 Exit 2, looking for NH-101 West.
- After toll booth, merge right onto NH-101 West.
- Take Route 101 W EXIT 11.
- At exit stopllights, bear/turn left onto NH-108 South/Portsmouth Ave.
- Proceed on Portsmouth Ave. toward Exeter. At third traffic light, turn right onto High Street.
- Proceed on High Street. It changes into Water Street in approx. 1/4 mile, which is the major street downtown. As you proceed into the downtown area, see bandstand approaching on your left. Proceed per directions “From the Exeter Bandstand” below.
From Route 101 East (Manchester and points east of Exeter)
- Take Route 101 East EXIT 11.
- At exit stopllights, bear/turn right onto NH-108 South/Portsmouth Ave.
- Proceed on Portsmouth Ave. toward Exeter. At third traffic light, turn right onto High Street.
- Proceed on High Street. It changes into Water Street in approx. 1/4 mile, which is the major street downtown. As you proceed into the downtown area, see bandstand approaching on your left. Proceed per directions “From the Exeter Bandstand” below.
From Route 111 (Kingston area and points south of Exeter)
- Take NH-111 East (Exeter Road) all the way into downtown Exeter. At intersection with Water Street, see the bandstand on your left. Proceed per directions “From the Exeter Bandstand” below.
From the Exeter Bandstand
- The bandstand is in the center of Exeter’s downtown district. From the bandstand, turn onto String Bridge. String Bridge is the roadway at a slight diagonal across the street from the bandstand.
- Proceed approximately three blocks across String Bridge, past the library on the right and mill apartment complex on the left, up a short hill and turn left at the first intersection, Chestnut Street. Proceed approximately 1/8 mile and bear right at first intersection. When you bear right, the road changes to Jady Hill Avenue although the right turn is more a bend in the road than an actual intersection. Proceed on Jady Hill Ave. approximately 1/2 mile to Exeter Country Club parking area and clubhouse on your left.
